Hey. I’m Megan!
I am an all-around communications pro. Writer, photographer, video production, public relations and design: I’ve done a little bit of everything.
I’ve been a social media manager for nearly a decade, supporting media outlets, non-profits, government organizations and Fortune 50 brands. As an early adopter of social media, and as someone that can claim they had a Facebook account in 2005, I’ve seen social media as a platform grow and evolve into something that touches everyone’s lives.
I have content creation skills focused on digital platforms. While serving as a communications director for a K-12 district, I brought the district’s e-newsletter open rate from 20 percent up to 40 percent.
I am skilled in website and content management. I am Google Analytics Certified and have managed sites that reach 1.5 million hits monthly. My proudest achievement in coding and content management is a full K-12 website rebuild. I am able to do basic coding, design and content building.
I have experience with media pitching and have found great success in pitching both commercial clients and non-profit storytelling.
I’ve also had experience with crisis communication with very public and sensitive cases crafting statements, hosting press conferences and managing social media.
Outside of work I bike, bake, take photos and research family trees.
